As previously referenced on this blog, as I’m not able to get out much lately, I’ve been going back through old photographs and processing them properly. Below is a full sequence of a grey heron successfully hunting and catching a fish at my local lake. It all happened in a matter of seconds. Out of seemingly nowhere the heron swooped in, hovered, then struck.
I’ve converted the sequence to black and white as I wasn’t happy with the colour version, it was a bit blue and dreary. I think it works really well in black and white though.
