As documented elsewhere in this blog, I’ve not been able to get out a huge amount this year, due to my personal health circumstances. I’ve relied pretty heavily, therefore, on my feathered friends just on the other side of my living room window. They’ve provided hours of entertainment this spring, and plenty of photographic opportunities!
Obviously shooting through a window is far from ideal. Focus often misses the subject due to all the glare and distortion, and even when it hits it’s nowhere near as sharp as it would be without the two layers of window pane in the way. On top of that, contrast is horrible straight from the camera, so all of the following have had a fair bit of rescuing in the edit.
